CTE STUDENTS SERVE INTERNSHIP

As part of their curriculum, juniors in the Culinary Arts program at the Center for Technical Education at Leominster High School serve yearlong internships at two local establishments, the Outback Steakhouse and Sheraton Four Points Hotel. Through the school/business partnerships, the students spend two hours a month gaining "on the job" work experience in all aspects of the businesses, while still in high school. At a celebration held recently at the Outback to commemorate the culmination of this year's program, participating students did presentations demonstrating the skills they have learned. Following the event at the Outback, students presented the Outback staff, lead by Raj Panchioli, managing partner, with flowers in appreciation for the experience.
