Time for you to decide who's best in North Central

Second annual contest starts in this week's Leominster Champion
STORY BY CAITLYN KELLEHER

Are this year's favorites the same as last year's top picks for the Best of North Central?

Who serves the best cup of coffee in this area? Or the best pizza?

This is what we want you, the readers, to tell us. We are looking for you to vote in 74 different categories and to help answer the question of who is the best in the area.

Choose best spots for local eating and shopping, for relaxing, dancing and hanging out.

It's a chance for your voice to be heard on the very important questions of the day as the Leominster Champion, Fitchburg Pride and The Community Journal present the second annual Best of North Central.

Over the next six weeks, we're asking readers to pick their favorites. By doing so, several lucky voters will win great prizes, including a $200 gasoline card.

Check out the first ballot on Page 22 or vote online at leominsterchamp.com.

The list of winners will be announced in a special section on Friday, Nov. 13, so all ballots must be postmarked by Wednesday, Sept. 23, which will be the same day online voting is closed.

To keep the competition fair, we are keeping the same rules as last year. For a ballot to be counted, you must vote in at least 10 of the categories. Votes must be submitted on an original ballot, no reproductions will be accepted.

Voters must submit their name, address and phone number or e-mail address for their ballot to be counted as well.

Those who submit ballots, either online or by mail, will be entered into a raffle for prizes.

So let the debates begin. Over 1,200 votes were cast last year; let one of those votes be yours in 2009.

Vote today and encourage your friends to do the same … even if they don't agree!
