Proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event scheduled for June 11 and 12 in Gardner. Print out the coupon from www.alwaysoncallhealth.com and bring it with you. CHICKS FOR CHARITY’ TO PERFORM

LEOMINSTER - The Four Points by Sheraton Leominster will host a fundraising music event for the Heart & Stroke Foundation on Saturday, Feb. 13. The show will feature four female singer/songwriters from the area, who are donating all proceeds from the evening to this worthy cause. The show kicks off at 9 p.m. Tickets are available for $10 at the Four Points Sheraton, by calling (978) 840-5549. The hotel is also offering a special Valentine’s Day package including dinner, show, overnight stay and breakfast for $200.

ENJOY DINNER WHILE HELPING OUT KIDS

LEOMINSTER - The community is invited to a delicious meal, while helping out the Leominster Central Mass Youth Basketball teams, from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Texas Roadhouse, 196 New Lancaster Road, Leominster. FISH DINNERS TO BE SERVED

LEOMINSTER - If it is Lent, it is fish on Friday at St. Anna’s Church Hall, 194 Lancaster St. The Ladies of St. Anna’s Society are busy preparing fish dinners that feature haddock, salad, potato, vegetable, macaroni and cheese, dessert, and a beverage for $8; $4 for children (1/2 portion). Added to the menu is a bowl of chowder for $3, a cup of chowder for $2, or just macaroni and cheese for $4. Join the Ladies every Friday night in Lent from 4:30 to 7 p.m. (except Good Friday), for dinner and fellowship.

GINNY’S FOOD PANTRY

FITCHBURG - The Boulder Coffeehouse presents Karen and Tag Vennard at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 923 Main St. A freewill suggested donation of $5 this month will go to Ginny’s Helping Hand Food Pantry in Leominster. Non-perishable food goods also welcome. Karen and Tag Vennard play an original mix of acoustic music. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes humorous, always romantic, a perfect treat for your Valentine’s Eve. Special guest will be Aurelia Carter. An assortment of pastries and refreshments available.

ALWAYS ON CALL OFFERS HEALTH COURSES

LEOMINSTER - Always On Call Health Services, Inc. will offer the following courses on Monday, Feb. 22, at 285 Central St., Suite 214, Leominster. The American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider CPR course (includes CPR for Infant, Child, Adult and AED) will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is geared for people who work within the healthcare field, day care providers, and nursing school students. The American Heart Association First Aid course will be held from 2 to 5 p.m.

PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT EXPLORES

ARCHITECTURAL VASTNESS

FITCHBURG – The CenterStage at Fitchburg State College Arts and Cultural Series will present an exhibition exploring architectural vastness by photographer Robert Alter entitled “The LaDefense Photographs” now through March 9 at the Hammond Campus Center Art Gallery. Admission is free. Alter’s MIT degree is in the photography of architecture. His art disregards both the rules of photography and, explicitly, architectural photography. The large-scale ink jet prints -printed on cotton rag paper or canvas - create a purposeful contradiction of surface and feeling.
