Was a standout athlete; 1984 Leominster High graduate

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - Richard M. Dandini Jr., 44, of Englewood, formerly of Leominster, Mass., died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in Florida.

Richard was born on Oct. 28, 1965, in Leominster, the son of Richard M. Dandini and Deanna M. (Romano) Dandini.

He graduated from Leominster High School in 1984 and Assumption College in 1988, where he was a standout athlete at both schools.

Richard was co-founder of Ricaldee’s Restaurant in Englewood.

He leaves his father, Richard M. Dandini of Leominster; his mother, Deanna (Romano) Dandini and friend, Alfonse Paglia, both of Englewood; a sister, Lori A. Dandini Gitto and her daughters, Gianna, Isabella, and Francesca; a brother, Steven N. Dandini and his wife, Melanie, their sons, Nico, Santino, and Gaetano, all of Leominster; his maternal grandparents, Nicholas A. and Dea Romano; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. in St. Anna Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster.

In lieu of flowers, an athletic scholarship will be formed in Richard’s name.
