Fidelity Bank names 2015 Role Model Winners

Submitted to The Champion

Fidelity Bank announced its 2015 Role Model Winners. They are the employees who demonstrated the highest level of commitment to maintaining and supporting the bank’s culture and values during the last year:

• Treating Everyone with Care and Respect: Ashley Wiljanen and Kate Blanchette, mortgage production coordinators.

“Ashley and Kate consistently treat our clients, our communities and fellow employees with a very high level of fairness, honesty, integrity, respect and care for the individual,” said Ed Manzi Jr., Fidelity Bank chairman and chief executive officer. “They both do their jobs with exceptional care and respect and watch out for their co-workers with a care that runs far deeper than most professional connections.”

• Making Ethical and Sound Professional Decisions: Lauren Bonney, assistant vice president, bank secrecy act officer.

“Lauren is all about seeking truth, enforcing ethical behaviors, and striving for the right things to be done,” Manzi said.

• Commitment to Pursue Excellence: Devon Roy, call center representative.

“Devon proactively works on solutions, frequently volunteers to help after hours and on weekends, and volunteers for less desirable assignments such as helping branches operate during snowstorms,” Manzi said.

• Committed to Continuous Learning and Improvement: Veronica Meneses, retail sales support manager.

“Veronica is an enthusiastic learner and teacher,” Manzi said. “She sets the stage for new hires to learn key job skills and LifeDesign and stretches herself to new heights of development.”

• Maintaining a Positive and Fun Work Environment: The entire Shirley Branch (Joyce Thibault, Jamieson Burgoyne, Abigail Farnsworth, Ian Saverse, Melissa McGee, Rachelle Szocik and Laurie Novoa).

“They’re always smiling, creating fun things, decorating and just making sure that people around them — clients, colleagues, and community members — have a reason to smile,” Manzi said.
